Air Lift AirLift 1000 Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2016 Dodge Durango

Today on our 2016 Dodge Durango, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for coil springs for the rear axle. Whenever we're hauling a heavy load with our Durango, whether it's a trailer or we have the back full of passengers, pets, and all sorts of gear, you'll notice that the back end's going to drop down. Well, that's putting a lot of strain and stress on our rear suspension, not to mention it's actually affecting the front, because when the back end goes down, it'll pull the front end up, which is going to misalign our headlights, cause some rear tire wear issues, and if they're not contacting the road as well, which means our steering and brake needs can be diminished as well. But that's where our air bags are going to help out. They're going to keep the back end where it should be, nice and level, which will put the front back where it should be and resolve a lot of those issues of braking, steering, and our tire wear. Here's what Air Helper Springs look like once we have them installed. These are here to help support the rear suspension whenever we're loaded down with a trailer or a lot of gear in the back. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup

Speaker 1: Today on this 2009 Dodge Ram pickup, we're gonna review and install the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part number TDR3500CA.This is what the Timbren's look like when they're installed under a Dodge truck. As you can see here, this replaces the whole bump stop assembly that was originally on the vehicle. And it really just bolts into place. It's very easy to install and is very easy to use once it's in place when you got a load in your truck.A couple quick details to know is that this is constructed entirely of rubber, but not just the rubber is what helps, it's also the shape of the two bellows right here that actually compresses and works as needed going down the road. Aside from the spring, it also comes with a bracket and the hardware needed to assemble everything. Plus, it's such a wide variety of these trucks and suspensions available, it comes with extra pieces as needed to make your adjustment for ride height between the axle and the spring.Compared to other suspension systems that are out there, this is by far the simplest, easiest one to use. more

Firestone Ride Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup

Speaker 1: Today on our 2008 Dodge Ram pickup, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Right air helper springs, part number F2299. So here's what our Firestone airbags are gonna look like once we have them installed. These are gonna provide us a lot more load leveling support whenever we have a heavy trailer or a heavy load in the back of our truck. Our airbags are gonna be adjustable anywhere from five to 100 PSI, giving us up to 5000 pounds of load leveling support. Now, I do wanna mention these bags are not gonna increase the towing capacity of your vehicle; they're only there to help support the load and maximize the towing capacity that it can carry. Not only are these gonna help support the load, but we're not gonna have to worry about the back end of our truck sagging down and putting strain on our rear suspension. more

Timbren Front Suspension System Installation - 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup

Speaker 1: Today on our 2008 Dodge Ram pickup, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Timbren Front Suspension, part number TDF25004B.Here's what our Timbrens are going to look like once we have them installed. They're going to replace our factory jump stop, in between our frame and our front axle. As you can see, there is quite a bit of different between the factory jump stop spring, and our Timbren. It's gonna actually be in contact with our axle all the time, even when there is no load in the vehicle. That's just gonna give us that extra support and smooth ride when we're going down the road. Now the way our Timbren is gonna work is when we do add a load to the front of our truck, such as a snowplow, the spring is gonna compress and become more stiff, giving us more support. While there's no load in it though, it's not gonna affect the ride of our truck. more

Air Lift AirLift 1000 Rear Air Helper Springs Installation - 2015 Dodge Durango

Kevin: Today, on our 2015 Dodge Durango, we're gonna show you how to install the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs. These are for the rear; designed to fit right into the coil springs. Part number is AL60824.Now the problem we hope to solve with the air bags is the vehicle squat that we get when we've got either a full load of people in the vehicle, the rear end kinda sags; maybe we're haulin' a trailer. You'll see as we bring the weight down on, the rear of the vehicle is gonna come down causing that squat. Now with about 200 pounds of tongue weight there on the back of the vehicle, we've actually had about an inch of squat here in the rear. So, this distance has been reduced quite a bit. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 2500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number F2299. All right, here's what our airbags look like installed. These are a quick and simple installation, and offer us a great alternative to having a saggy suspension in the back of our truck. It'll offer us an improved ride quality, better handling, and better braking when we're towing a heavy low or if we have a lot of weight in the bed. These airbags will allow us to run anywhere between 5 and 100 PSI of air pressure in them. At 100 PSI, these bags will offer us 5,000 pounds of weight-leveling capability. What that means is, if we have 5,000 pounds of tongue weight on our gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer, or 5,000 pounds of weight in the bed, we'll be able to maintain a factory ride height. These do not give us an additional 5,000 pounds of weight-carrying capacity or towing capacity; they will just supplement our vehicle's suspension and make it have a higher quality ride when we're loading our truck down and using it for its full potential. Now, unlike some of our competitor airbags that are offered for this particular truck, these do not have an internal jounce bumper inside of them. more

Today on our 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be having a look at and installing the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for the rear. Part number AL60814. The reason you'll want to have an Air Lift system like this is if you have a vehicle where you're towing a trailer with a heavy tongue weight, or have a lot of cargo loaded in the back of it quite frequently. This will help support the rear of the vehicle to help prevent it from sagging, so you can drive down the road with the vehicle riding more like factory, and you won't have to compromise your suspension, your tires, or your handling. You'll have it riding level, but you'll still have your handling, your braking, and your tire wear will be just like normal. Let's have a closer look at what our Air Lift here comes with. We have our two air bags here. We have our section of black rubber hose here for the air line. more

What is going to happen is the bracket is going to sit on top of the air bag just like that. Then we will take two flange lock nuts and run them down tight right now. :40 more

Timbren Front Suspension Kit Installation- Video

Timbren Front Suspension Kit Installation

Today, on this 2001 Dodge Ram 2500, we are going to install Timbren front suspension kit, part number TDF25004B. Alright, this is the Timbren suspension enhancement system and we are seeing half of the kit. This is the part that we are going to use on the driver side of the vehicle. Alright, as you can see here, it has the rubber spring on the bottom half and then on the top part is a thin metal plate. And then on top of that is another rubber part that can actually get pushed into the bump stop cup that is located on the frame of the vehicle. What you need to do is lift the frame of the vehicle up to loosen the suspension up, so we have more working room. 0:32 more

Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video

Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan

Today on this 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan we are going to install the Timbren Suspension Enhancement system part number TDVRRT. For clarity we already took off our tire and wheel and you see all suspension components right here. What is going to happen is that Timbren component is going to actually replace this part right here and to replace that part what is going to happen is you are going to have to lower the axle itself, this whole assembly, down a little bit so you can get the spring out. How we are going to do that is we are going to first take off this bolt for shock mount and let the whole axle assembly come down. Then also we are going to undo this brake line here and the bracket underneath of it so it has plenty of room to come down and not stress the brake lines. 00:39 more
